GENERAL TIPS

Read the usage instructions carefully

Each product is unique, so be sure to carefully read the usage instructions and cautionary statements to avoid any unexpected results. You'll also find valuable tips on the best hair removal technique for that specific product, making it a great resource to ensure a smooth experience.

Practice makes perfect

The first time you try to remove hair, it can be a bit awkward and difficult. Like with all new things you need time to learn what works best. For hair removal creams, it can be how long to leave it on the skin for optimal results. For waxing it is often perfecting the technique to get the studio results you wanted, at a fraction of the cost.

Have good after care products on stand by

There are many creams and oils that solves a multitude of issues related to hair removal. A soothing cream or oil will calm the skin and decrease the risk of getting a rash or red bumps. If you wax make sure you have wax removal wipes or oil ready to use.

Exfoliate after hair removal

Exfoliating is your best defense against ingrown hairs - for all hair removal methods. If you're already suffering from an ingrown hair, exfoliate the area with a gentle scrub. Buy an exfoliating sponge, glove or good exfoliator cream. Make it part of your daily showering routine.

Buy hair removal products of high quality

Don’t compromise when it comes to hair removal. Invest in products specifically designed for men and the areas you’re targeting. Have thinner hair in sensitive areas? You'll quickly see why using a product meant for legs won’t give you the best results for more delicate regions.

TIPS FOR CREAMS

Experiment to find the optimal application time for each body part

The time for the cream to work is very dependent on the type of hair and skin. Thin light hair will need less time than thick and dark hair. The same depilatory cream can need a different time to work depending on where it is used. The usage instructions normally include a minimum and maximum time of usage. Experiment to find the perfect time for each body part.

Use a microfiber cloth or towel with your hair removal cream

Wiping away the hair removal cream with a microfiber cloth (or glove) is an excellent way to get better results. With one wipe you remove all the cream and hair. You get closer to the skin and will remove the hair on a deeper level than when using a spatula. Fiber cloths are available in most grocery or drug stores in the cleaning or beauty section. A towel is softer on the skin.

TIPS FOR WAX

Make sure the skin is 100 % dry

For the wax to work properly it is very important that the skin is 100 % dry. So, no using in the shower! Even a moist bathroom after a hot shower can decrease the effectiveness of wax. If it is hot outside and you feel the skin is sweaty, you can apply a thin layer of body powder to ensure the skin and hair are dry.

Do not remove wax with soap and water

To remove wax residue, we recommend using a wax removal wipe. Baby oil or body oil can also work well. If you don’t have those on hand, regular cooking oils like olive or rapeseed oil will do the job just fine.

When waxing, ensure hair is not too long or too short

Ideally you should wait at least four weeks in between waxing sessions to allow the wax to grab the hair. The hair should be at least 3-4 mm long. The exact length needed for an effective waxing depends on the hair type and body part. Conversely a common mistake is to try to wax hair that’s too long, especially in delicate areas. Trim it down first so it’s about 0,5 - 1 centimeter.

Cut the wax strips into shape

Wax strips come in different sizes. There is no need to buy all of them, you can just cut them into the shape you need for a certain area. Cut the strips before you separate them.
